Webinar - Backbone.js - Models, collections and testing
Time: 2011-08-24:[10-00 am - 11-00 am MST]
"...because testing is important on the client-side too!"
Session Overview
In this 2nd installment of the Backbone.js webinar series, we will dive right into testing with Jasmine and practicing TDD when building Backbone applications. We will have a specific focus on models and collections and how we can use them to encapsulate data and behavior in our client-side applications. Once again, there won't be any slides but there will be a lot of live coding and examples to demonstrate these concepts. If you enjoy that kind of thing and are interested in digging a bit deeper into Backbone.js, sign up! :)
Agenda
- How test Backbone applications and more importantly, how to test-drive the development of your Backbone models
- Setting up an automated test environment to keep the TDD flow rolling
- Use testing to build out some models and collections in our application
- Q&A
